Mabul Island, Sabah

Mabul is a small island off the south-eastern coast of Sabah in Malaysia. The island has been a fishing village since 1970s. Then in 1990s, it first became popular to divers due to its proximity to Sipadan island.Located 15 km from Sipadan, this 20-hectare piece of land surfaces 2–3 meters above sea level, consists mostly flat grounds and aerial view is oval-shaped. How to get to Mabul:
To get to Mabul you can get a straight flight to Tawau, Sabah, from there transit to Semporna town. There are many chartered taxi/van from Tawau airport to Semporna. From Semporna you will need to get a boat from "Jeti Awam Semporna" normally the boat will be arrange and inclusive in your stay package in Mabul. Hi Cecilia. Thanks for visiting my blog. I was stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights and the cost for the package is around rm450. Go in larger group will be much cheaper.
The package inclusive
- Boat from Semporna to Mabul (return)
- Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner
- Snorkeling 2 times. (You can pay extra if you want to snorkel at kapalai island around rm80 - can nego with scuba jeff :)

There are also a diving package at Scuba Jeff if you are a diver.
